Act L. of 2023 was planned to entry into force on 01.11.2023, it would have regulated in detail the employment and residence of guest workers in Hungary.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development, the Government has made the decision to put the rules related to the immigration and employment of foreigners on a new basis and will create new legal regulation instead of the guest worker law.
The law on the employment of guest workers in Hungary will therefore not be applied until the comprehensive regulation is created.
