The schedule for submitting applications for residence permit extensions has been modified
With the amendment, which entered into force on 11 May 2024 , applications for renewal of residence permits can be submitted earlier than 45 days before expiry.
The introduction of a guest investor residence permit has been postponed
The permit type could have been applied for from July 1, 2024, but with the amendment that came into effect on May 11, 2024, that date was changed to January 1, 2025.
EnterHungary maintenance
The immigration office’s online application upload system, EnterHungary, will be temporarily unavailable between 24:00 on 17 May 2024 and 24:00 on 20 May 2024 due to pre-planned maintenance.
