EU Blue Card minimum wages to rise in 2026

The Minister of National Economy announced the minimum wage valid in 2026 for the EU Blue Card.

The salary of employees with EU Blue card must continuously meet the minimum level required for the EU Blue Card. Accordingly, employees’ salaries must be raised to at least the prescribed minimum level as of January 1.

* In certain specified healthcare professions, the minimum salary is lower — 800,838 HUF gross.

In addition, at the time of application, the salary must also meet the general minimum applicable to the job (as determined by the relevant FEOR code), which may be higher than the EU Blue Card minimum indicated above.
