From 2 April 2025, the British government will make the entry of EU citizens into the United Kingdom subject to an electronic travel authorisation (hereinafter: ETA). Requesting an ETA permit is typically required for tourism, transit, family visits, business meetings, participation in conferences or even entry for study purposes and stays of no more than 6 months.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The fee for applying for an authorisation is currently GBP 10, which will increase to GBP 16 on 9 April 2025. The ETA is approved for two years, subject to the applicant’s travel document, so if it becomes necessary to change the travel document in the meantime, a new authorisation must be applied for entry into the UK.<\/p>

It is recommended to submit the application at least 3 working days before the trip.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
