Information on the eligibility and application for vaccination card

We hereby inform you that foreign citizens who have a residence permit/registration card issued in Hungary are entitled to apply for a Hungarian vaccination card in the following cases:

• By proving certificate of disease transmission.
• If the infection has been officially confirmed by a doctor and the fact of the infection has been officially registered, the vaccination card will be issued with a validity period of 6 months.
• If you have an IGG test (antibody test), which proves that you have been infected but have not been registered, the vaccination card will be issued with a validity period of 4 months.
• With a vaccination certificate received in Hungary (after getting vaccine). If the identity document (identity card or passport) has been changed in the meantime, the vaccination card must also be changed, as they are only valid together
• From 28th June 2021 based on a vaccination certificate obtained in the countries specified in a separate regulation. The list of countries can be found at the end of the e-mail. The range of these countries is expected to expand. The process and conditions for the practical application of the new regulation is still being developed, it’s not published yet.

The existence of a coronavirus vaccine can also be confirmed with a mobile application (EESZT app). The option is only available for persons with a valid TAJ card, and Customer Portal (Ügyfélkapu) access is required for registration.

In the case of foreign citizens, the issuance of a protection card can be requested in a government window with a separate administration.

Our company provides full support in applying for a vaccination card, without the personal attendance of the customer. We submit the application for a vaccination card in the possession of a power of attorney signed by the customer, then the customer will receive the card by a notified postal mail.
